Job summary

HDR is seeking a qualified Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Power Generation team in Syracuse, NY. The engineer will lead project teams in developing and implementing energy generation projects while also serving as the Engineer of Record. Candidates should possess considerable experience with utility-scale power generation systems and must have a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.

This position offers opportunities to work on diverse projects involving renewable energy and requires excellent communication and analytical skills alongside a minimum of 15 years in the field. The targeted salary range is $108,661 – $204,250 based on experience and location.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in power generation design.
• Professional Engineers (PE or P.Eng) license is required.
• Extensive experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical team and coordinate with engineering disciplines.
• Provide mechanical engineering support throughout project lifecycle.
• Monitor project status and ensure compliance with schedule and budget.
