Job summary

HDR is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead power generation projects across the U.S. This role is critical for developing and implementing natural gas and renewable energy solutions. The position requires significant experience in power generation design, leadership, and project management tasks.

Located in Buffalo, NY, or other preferred locations, the ideal candidate will have a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, over 10 years of relevant experience, and must hold a Professional Engineer license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in design and power generation.
• Professional Engineers (PE or P.Eng) license required.
• Experience with gas turbines and large engines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead project mechanical team and coordinate other disciplines.
• Provide mechanical engineering support for detailed design.
• Manage and communicate project status.
