Job summary

Sperton Global AS in Mount Holly, New Jersey, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Plumbing Engineer for a client project portfolio. You will design plumbing systems for commercial, healthcare, institutional, and public-sector projects, coordinating with architectural and MEP teams.

The role requires code-compliant design, calculations, documentation, and support from concept through construction, with on-site collaboration in Mount Holly and an active P.E. license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required.
• 3–5 years of plumbing or mechanical engineering experience in an MEP environment.
• Hands-on experience designing domestic water, sanitary, storm, and gas systems.
• Experience performing plumbing system calculations.
• Strong knowledge of IPC, NSPC, IFGC, NFPA, ASPE standards and NJ codes.
• Ability to work on-site in Mount Holly, New Jersey.
• Ability to coordinate with architectural and MEP teams.

Responsibilities

• Design plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary waste and vent, storm drainage, natural gas, and fuel gas systems.
• Prepare plumbing plans, diagrams, details, specifications, and hydraulic/engineering calculations.
• Design code-compliant systems and support permitting and code review responses.
• Coordinate plumbing designs with architectural and MEP teams.
• Support projects from concept and design through construction.
• Prepare and review construction documents, shop drawings, and submittals.
• Respond to RFIs and support field coordination and issue resolution.
