Job summary

Speakman is seeking a New Product Development Engineer to take mechanical plumbing products from concept through production. This role blends hands-on mechanical design, materials and manufacturing knowledge, simulation, prototyping, testing, documentation, and cross-functional leadership.

Located in the PA/NJ/DE region with periodic in-person work, you will manage multiple development projects, collaborate with Product Management, Quality, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Vendors, and ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years in manufacturing engineering and NPD.
• Advanced SolidWorks experience including drawings, assemblies, tolerances, and simulation.
• Prototyping, testing, validation, and design iterations experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical plumbing products into manufacturable solutions.
• Translate concepts into detailed components and assemblies meeting requirements.
• Plan prototypes, test protocols, and analyze results to drive design improvements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to move designs toward production.
