Job summary

Speakman, an Everflow company, is seeking a New Product Development Engineer in the Carteret, NJ area to drive plumbing product concepts from design to production. This role blends hands-on mechanical design, materials knowledge, simulation, prototyping, testing, documentation, and cross-functional leadership.

The successful candidate will manage multiple projects with Product Management, Quality, Sourcing, and Operations, ensuring performance, cost, and schedule objectives are met while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 8+ years of manufacturing engineering and new product development experience.
• Willingness to travel periodically to vendors and sites.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical plumbing products into functional, manufacturable solutions.
• Translate concepts into detailed components and assemblies meeting performance, cost, quality and schedule targets.
• Apply materials and manufacturing knowledge to ensure reliable production.
• Plan prototypes and test equipment to support quality and standards.
• Prepare layouts, drawings, BOMs, specifications and cost studies for proposals and orders.
