Schnackel Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical MEP Engineer to design, analyze, and implement mechanical systems for commercial and residential projects. The role involves load calculations, equipment selection, and creating detailed drawings and specifications.

Collaboration with the MEP/FP/IT design teams is essential. The ideal candidate has an accredited Architectural Engineering (Mechanical) or Mechanical Engineering degree, 3+ years of MEP design experience, and PE credentials or the

Qualifications

• Accredited degree in Architectural Engineering with a Mechanical emphasis or Mechanical Engineering degree.
• 3+ years of mechanical design experience with an MEP consulting firm.
• Strong knowledge of Building, Mechanical, and Energy Codes.
• Professional Engineer credentials in Mechanical Engineering (or ability to obtain).
• Excellent communication, organization, and independent working skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with clients and design teams to ensure a coordinated interdisciplinary design.
• Attend meetings with clients and internal teams as needed.
• Create mechanical construction documents using AutoCAD/Revit.
• Perform load calculations and ductwork/pipe sizing.
• Coordinate equipment selection with vendors and manufacturers.
