Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking an experienced maintenance professional to lead mechanical upkeep at our U.S. facilities.

You will coordinate maintenance activities, troubleshoot plant equipment, and mentor the maintenance team to improve reliability and safety. The role requires extensive experience in industrial mechanical maintenance, leadership capabilities, and the ability to work with conveyors, crushers, pumps, and motors.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in industrial mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to lead and mentor maintenance teams.
• Knowledge of conveyors, crushers, pumps, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics.
• Ability to read technical drawings, equipment manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and promoting safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate mechanical maintenance activities to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of plant equipment, including conveyors, crushers, screening systems, and rotating equipment.
• Plan, prioritize, and assign maintenance work while providing technical guidance and support to maintenance team members.
• Conduct inspections, analyze equipment performance, and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and equipment life.
• Oversee equipment installations, alignments, and major repair projects, ensuring work is completed safely and to quality standards.
• Collaborate with operations, contractors, and maintenance personnel to coordinate planned outages and resolve unplanned equipment issues.
• Train and mentor maintenance employees on best practices, troubleshooting techniques, and safe work procedures.
• Promote and enforce company safety policies while fostering a strong safety-first culture throughout the operation.
