Job summary

Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy is seeking a senior Mechanical Engineer with an extensive background in oil & gas projects to lead maintenance for engines and gas compressors. The role requires 8+ years in related industries, a PEC-recognized B.Sc/B.E in Mechanical Engineering, and hands-on experience with CMMS, troubleshooting, and major overhauls.

You will coordinate across departments, manage inventories, and ensure safety compliance.

Qualifications

• B.Sc or B.E in Mechanical Engineering from PEC-recognized university.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in oil & gas, fertilizer, chemical or petrochemical industries.
• Experience with maintenance of industrial engines and reciprocating gas compressors (multistage - double acting).
• Strong troubleshooting skills for engines, compressors, and workshop equipment.
• Knowledge of industrial codes/standards and HSE practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with other departments for execution of jobs.
• Prepare task lists and Gantt charts for major/top overhauls.
• Initiate indents and manage inventory as per jobs.
• Keep management updated about shutdown-critical work.
• Execute work safely and follow company policies.
• Ensure PPE and PTW compliance.
• Prepare maintenance budgets for top/major overhauls, revenue & capital expenditure.
• Forecast consumption vs budget for next fiscal year.
• Maintain records of stores transactions, material transfers & transportation.
• Perform routine services of engines & compressors.
• Review safe operation practices for sour & residual gas compressor stations.
• Plan and design major replacement & modification of existing engines & compressors.
• Implement plan and monitor progress of projects.
• Maintain project data and recommended spare part list.
• Prepare audits and inspections of 3rd party auditor or inspector.
• Prepare daily, monthly, major jobs KPI reports.
