A global industrial gas and engineering organization is seeking a driven, technically skilled Mechanical Engineer to lead the full lifecycle management of critical mechanical equipment within gas processing facilities. This role blends engineering design authority with hands‑on field execution and cross‑functional project leadership.
This is a safety-sensitive position requiring experience working in industrial environments and adherence to OSHA standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead specification, selection, procurement, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical equipment
- Ensure systems meet process, safety, and operational requirements
- Ensure compliance with ASME Section VIII, Division 1
- Ensure compliance with ASME B31.3 Process Piping Code
- Oversee pressure vessel and piping design, modification, and repair
- Partner with Process, Electrical, and Controls teams on design and commissioning
- Support safe installation and startup of new systems
- Contribute to scope, schedule, and budget management
- Serve as SME for rotating equipment
- Provide troubleshooting support and reliability improvements
- Develop maintenance strategies to enhance system uptime
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, or chemical processing environments (6+ with Master’s)Strong working knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div. 1 and B31.3
- Demonstrated experience with industrial rotating equipment
- Proven hands‑on mechanical troubleshooting capability
- Experience working in industrial/process facilities
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with centrifugal blowers, oil‑flooded screw compressors, and/or industrial mixers
- Project engineering or project management experience
- Background in gas processing, oil & gas, chemical, renewable energy, biogas, or waste treatment industries
- Knowledge of industrial gases and pipeline safety
