Job summary

PEAK Technical Services Inc. seeks a senior-level Mechanical Engineer to lead a multi-discipline team in designing and constructing chemical, refining, and energy facilities. You will oversee piping design, PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment layouts from concept through close-out, ensuring quality and compliance.

You will manage scopes, schedules, and budgets while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with project managers to meet client expectations and deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 15-20 years of engineering design experience in oil/gas and heavy industrial projects.
• PE license or eligible within 12 months.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience creating PFDs and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers, designers and draftsmen on a day-to-day basis and act as a knowledge resource for the team.
• Interface with project managers to fulfill project requirements and deliver on time and within budget.
• Develop and maintain work plans, schedules, forecasting and budgets.
• Lead projects from start to finish and support proposal writing.
• Coordinate with pipe designers and other disciplines on 3D model development and reviews.
• Review and select piping specifications; perform design reviews for quality deliverables.
