Job summary

JT4, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Trades Specialist III – Mechanical/HVAC at Edwards AFB, CA. The role requires deep hands-on expertise in mechanical/HVAC systems, electrical and structural trades, and the ability to diagnose and repair complex facilities equipment.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a current CFC certification, and at least 10 years of related work experience. Preference given to those apprenticed in a second trade and eligible for a US government

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CFC (chlorofluorocarbon) certification required upon hire.
• 10 years of directly related Mechanical/HVAC experience.
• Apprenticeship program completion and training in a second trade.

Responsibilities

• Inspect mechanical equipment to diagnose troubles and malfunctions.
• Dismantle or partly dismantle subsystems and perform repairs using hand tools.
• Replace defective parts from stock and prepare written repair specifications.
• Assemble machines and adjust for proper operation.
• Install, service, and repair HVAC environmental-control systems per blueprints.
• Fabricate ducts and chassis parts and connect electrical components to control panels.
