Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Mechanical HVAC Engineer for a Remote/Hybrid role supporting advanced facilities and pharma-related design. You will lead HVAC/utility system development, coordinate with CAD/Revit teams, and ensure compliance with cGMP facilities standards.

The role requires a PE license (preferred), 5+ years of experience, and proficiency in load calculation software and 3D design tools. Expect hybrid work and collaboration across multiple project sites in OH/IN/NC/PA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• At least 5 years of related experience in pharmaceutical facility design, including cGMP manufacturing facilities.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and basis of design level design approaches and documentation.
• Develop HVAC and plant utility systems philosophies.
• Prepare mechanical/utility equipment and construction specifications.
• Perform temperature/humidity load calculations.
• Create airflow diagrams, pressurization plans, and ductwork/piping plans.
• Develop P&ID’s, equipment plans, and plant utility distribution plans.
• Define BMS control philosophy and sequences of operations.
• Provide construction support through submittal reviews and RFIs; assist in start-up.
