Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer for a Remote/Hybrid role focused on pharmaceutical facility projects. Responsibilities include developing design concepts, HVAC philosophies, equipment specs, and load calculations, while leading CAD/REVIT design work and ensuring alignment with budgets and schedules.

The candidate will bring 5+ years of related experience, a Mechanical or Architectural Engineering degree, and ideally a PE license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering is required.
• At least 5 years of related experience, includING pharmaceutical facility design with cGMP manufacturing facilities.
• PE license is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and basis of design level design approaches and documentation.
• Develop HVAC and plant utility systems philosophies.
• Develop Mechanical/Utility equipment and construction specifications.
• Perform temperature and humidity load calculations.
• Create airflow diagrams, pressurization plans, and ductwork/piping plans.
• Lead CAD/REVIT design activities and manage mechanical/utilities scope within budgets and schedules.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (preferred)

PE License (preferred)
