McKim & Creed, Inc. in Nashville, TN is seeking a Mechanical Group Manager to lead a team delivering mechanical, plumbing and fire protection design services for institutional, commercial and industrial facilities.

The role includes developing new clients and ensuring high-quality service through operational excellence. You will oversee resource allocation, project budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration, while driving growth in the BEI division.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering with PE registration or ability to acquire FL PE via reciprocity.
• 8+ years of mechanical design and HVAC system analysis experience.
• Leadership and business-development talents to grow the business and expand market share.
• Ability to work as part of a project team.
• Self-motivation and independence to complete work assignments.
• Technical competence, teamwork and strong communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and design services for mechanical projects as part of a multi-discipline team.
• Develop new clients and deliver high-quality service through operational excellence.
• Prepare proposals and present to clients.
• Allocate resources, balance manpower and assign tasks within budgets.
• Interact with clients, prepare reports, and submit permits for mechanical projects.
• Identify and recruit regional team members as needed; function as Project Manager when required.
• Collaborate across McKim & Creed to sell and deliver company-wide services.
