Job summary

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Flight Test Discipline Engineer Manager – Level 5 to lead a discipline engineering team on advanced flight test programs in the Skunk Works environment. You will plan and execute flight test missions, publish test plans, and coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and flight operations to ensure readiness of test articles.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, active Top-Secret clearance, and proven flight test and mission control experience, with

Qualifications

• Active Top-Secret clearance required with ability to maintain and access Special Access Program
• Proven Flight Test experience
• Experience in a Mission Control Room with multi-disciplinary test teams
• Leadership experience including hiring, performance reviews, and training
• Background interfacing with DoD customers is a plus

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and execute flight test missions with discipline engineers
• Develop and publish test plans and flight test cards
• Communicate test requirements to engineering, maintenance, sensors, and flight operations
• Ensure compliance with test safety plans and SOPs
• Lead mission briefings, debriefings and control room operations; manage expectations and qualifications
