Job summary

The Christman Company is seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator to lead estimating and planning efforts for the region, focusing on MEP costs and providing input to project scopes from schematic documents. This role will manage preconstruction activities and support multiple projects concurrently.

You will supervise teams of estimators, develop and present estimates, and collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate budgets and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Eight (8) years of estimating experience in construction or related field; OR equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Preferred: CM/GC construction management at risk and Design-Build project experience on large, complex bids.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, check work, and mentor Estimators and Estimating Engineers.
• Develop conceptual estimates and oversee estimates across project workstreams.
• Lead major estimating efforts and clarify estimate reports for clients and stakeholders.
• Cultivate subcontractor knowledge and relationships and present estimating results to clients.
