Qualifications

10+ years of mechanical estimating experience in commercial or industrial construction.
Proficiency with HVAC, plumbing, and piping estimation.
Experience with design-build, negotiated, and hard-bid projects.
Strong reading of drawings, specs, and BIM/VDC outputs.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, and bid proposals for HVAC, plumbing, and piping scopes.
Perform quantity takeoffs, labor analysis, and material pricing using estimating tools.
Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure complete scope coverage.
Identify cost-saving opportunities, constructability issues, and project risks during preconstruction.
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals.
