Job summary

Roguesearch is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to lead end-to-end take-offs and cost estimating for large commercial/industrial projects. You will coordinate with the Estimating department, contact subcontractors for quotes, and prepare accurate bid documents and proposals.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of industrial estimating experience, proficiency with estimating tools, BIM, and MS Office, and the ability to read drawings and specifications. Hybrid schedule with minimal travel offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or another technical field.
• Minimum 10 years estimating experience within an industrial construction company.
• Experience estimating manufacturing facilities is required.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end mechanical take-off and cost estimating; coordinate with estimation team.
• Coordinate quantity take-off for plumbing, piping, ductwork, sheet metal, HVAC equipment, etc.
• Request quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to bid projects; prepare bid documents.
• Produce professional proposal level estimates with clear scope, pricing, exclusions.
• Ensure bid package complies with company bidding process.
