Job summary

Kintec Global Recruitment is seeking an experienced estimator to lead preconstruction for industrial mechanical packages on hard-bid, negotiated, and design-build projects. You will define scope from drawings and P&IDs and develop estimates for labor, material, equipment, and subcontract work.

Requires 8+ years in industrial/process estimating, strong millwright and piping knowledge, and proficiency with estimating software, Bluebeam, and Excel.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience estimating industrial or process mechanical work.
• Strong knowledge of millwright, piping, rigging, and fabrication methods.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and P&IDs.
• Proficiency with estimating/takeoff software, Bluebeam, and Excel.

Location: United States (Hybrid/Remote)

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time Remote

Key Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction for industrial mechanical packages on hard-bid, negotiated, and design-build projects.
• Define project scope from drawings, specifications, and P&IDs.
• Develop conceptual through detailed estimates for labor, material, equipment, rigging, fabrication, welding, and subcontract work.
• Price equipment installation and alignment, process piping, conveyors, heavy rigging, and shutdown work.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes; assess productivity, risk, and value engineering opportunities.
• Prepare bid summaries, clarifications, and exclusions, and transition work to project teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience estimating industrial or process mechanical work, with responsibility for complex bids.
• Strong knowledge of millwright, piping, rigging, and fabrication methods.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and P&IDs.
• Proficiency with estimating/takeoff software, Bluebeam (or equivalent), and Excel.
• Field trade experience is a plus.
• Must be based in the United States with full working rights and able to work fully remote.
