System One is seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator in Phoenix, AZ to lead estimates for HVAC and mechanical piping on commercial and industrial projects. The role requires strong takeoff skills, bid development, and collaboration with project teams to win high-value bids.

The ideal candidate has proven experience on projects up to $50 million, reads complex drawings, and can develop competitive, accurate estimates under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical estimating.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical piping.
• Experience estimating large-scale mechanical construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specs.
• Experience with estimating software and digital takeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for HVAC, mechanical piping, and related systems.
• Review drawings, specifications and bid documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for equipment, ductwork, piping, insulation and fittings.
• Develop labor, material, equipment, subcontractor and total cost estimates.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers and vendors during preconstruction.
• Lead bid reviews and prepare bid proposals.
