Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks a Staff Registered Mechanical Equipment Engineer to mentor teams and provide expert mechanical equipment guidance for LNG projects. You will lead technical work, evaluate suppliers, and ensure compliance with ASME, API, NFPA, and related standards across global projects.

You will collaborate with engineers in NA and Asia, develop data sheets, and assist in bid evaluations while advancing safety and quality in midstream design efforts.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (10–25%).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Plant operations and maintenance experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, select, specify, and engineer equipment suitable for LNG projects.
• Coordinate with manufacturers for optimal design solutions.
• Prepare equipment data sheets and technical specifications for bids.
• Lead and coordinate meetings with cross‑discipline teams and clients.
• Participate in design reviews, Hazop, and constructability reviews.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers in NA and Asia.
