Job summary

BD is seeking a Senior Manager, Mechanical Engineering to lead NA mechanical engineers within the Pharmacy Automation Hardware Engineering team. You will build and sustain a high-performing group delivering new product development, sustaining engineering, reliability, and compliance initiatives.

The role requires strategic leadership to close capability gaps, develop talent, and align with the Hardware Engineering vision across the Pharmacy Automation portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• 4 years in functional leadership.
• Experience working with global teams.
• Experience developing and launching a new product.
• Experience in DFSS methodology.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Mechanical Engineering functional authority.
• Standardize and improve mechanical engineering tools, processes, and best practices.
• Provide technical rigor through design and risk reviews.
• Ensure quality, documentation, and regulatory alignment.
• Foster innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to enable program success.
