Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) in North Carolina seeks a Sr Staff Systems Engineer to lead design, development and maintenance of pharmacy automation products in the Vial and Central Solutions portfolio. You will own system requirements, risk analyses, and verification plans in a regulated healthcare environment.

The role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while improving systems engineering processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM.
8+ years in systems engineering for electromechanical/robotics products.
Experience across all phases of product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Lead systems engineering activities across vial and central solutions products throughout lifecycle.
Define system requirements, architecture and design, ensuring regulatory alignment.
Perform risk analyses (FMEA, hazard) and drive verification/validation planning.
Collaborate with software, hardware and cross-functional teams for seamless integration.
Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in processes.
