Colonial Staffing Group Inc. in Humble, TX is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Department Manager to lead engineering teams for large-scale EPC projects across refining, petrochemical, oil and gas, mining and heavy industry.

The role combines hands-on mechanical engineering expertise with department leadership, including technical oversight, resource planning, and mentoring engineers to deliver compliant designs in ASME/API codes.

Competenze

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience in EPC, refining, petrochemical, oil and gas, mining or heavy industry.
• Strong background in mechanical equipment design and engineering.
• Experience with pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors and piping systems.
• Knowledge of ASME/API codes and engineering standards.
• Experience developing equipment specifications and technical deliverables.
• Mechanical engineering team leadership and staff development.
• Department resource planning, scheduling and engineering quality oversight.
• Strong communication, organizational and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
