Job summary

Citrine LLC seeks an Sr. Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead our mechanical engineering team while remaining engaged in technical work. Based in Colorado with hybrid flexibility, you will mentor staff, guide design across HVAC, plumbing, and process systems, and ensure project success for commercial, industrial, and government projects.

Travel to sites and Citrine offices is required. You will drive technical direction, review complex deliverables, and collaborate with clients and project

Qualifications

• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience with progression into leadership roles.
• Experience mentoring engineers, designers, or technicians and guiding technical initiatives.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems design across commercial, industrial, and government facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead Citrine’s mechanical engineering team, providing direction, mentorship, and technical support.
• Serve as senior mechanical technical lead for complex client-driven projects.
• Oversee design activities: HVAC, plumbing/piping, process/mechanical systems, and equipment.
• Review deliverables for accuracy, code compliance, and alignment with requirements.
• Guide project execution from design development through commissioning and closeout.
• Coordinate with PMs, discipline leads, contractors, and clients to define scope and ensure execution.
