Job summary

Citrine LLC is seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer, PE, to provide senior technical leadership across projects and mentor the mechanical team in Colorado. Hybrid work arrangements are available, with travel to sites and offices required.

The candidate will lead mechanical design, coordinate with multi-discipline teams, ensure code compliance, and support construction through commissioning. 8+ years of experience and PE are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (required).
• Active PE license required.
• 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience with leadership/mentorship.
• Experience directing multiple projects and teams.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, and mechanical systems design.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, IMC, IPC, SMACNA, NFPA and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and analysis through all project phases.
• Mentor engineers, designers, and technicians.
• Coordinate with architects, structures, electrical, and other disciplines.
• Review drawings, calculations, and specs for accuracy and code compliance.
• Support site activities, commissioning, and RFI responses.
• Develop equipment specs, layouts, and technical documentation.
