Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; 12+ years experience, or 10+ years with graduate degree.
• Significant leadership experience across engineering teams and programs.
• Broad mechanical engineering background for complex hardware systems.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience building operational plans and leading organizational change while preserving delivery.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for customer interactions and reviews.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Mechanical Lead Team and guide technical execution across multiple programs.
• Develop workforce and staffing plans to meet current and growth needs.
• Establish and execute plans for capability development, process maturity, and tool strategy.
• Drive consistent mechanical engineering practices, reviews, metrics, and lessons learned.
• Collaborate with directors and leaders across functions to align priorities.
• Guide the organization through complex problems using root-cause analysis and engineering judgment.
• Influence architecture, packaging, manufacturability, reliability, and cost decisions.
• Champion new concepts and technologies to improve performance and differentiation.
• Support business capture through customer engagement, reviews, and risk assessment.
• Develop and mentor leads, managers, and senior engineers; drive leadership development.
