Job summary

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Aeronautical/Civil Engineering or have completed within the last 12 months.
• Knowledge of design for excellence (DfX) principles and producibility.
• Ability to collaborate with electrical, systems, manufacturing, quality and program management teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop optimized mechanical solutions for ruggedized defense communication equipment with a focus on size, weight, and environmental suitability.
• Apply DfX principles to improve robustness, environmental performance, and compliance with program requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance cost, performance, and producibility.
• Create and maintain mechanical design documentation including 3D models and drawings.
• Support prototype builds, verification/validation testing, and root cause investigations.
