The role involves mentoring staff, coordinating with stakeholders, and advancing sustainable building systems, including airside and hydronic networks, for critical care facilities across the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or architectural engineering.
• Professional Engineering License in the US required.
• 12+ years of experience designing building HVAC systems, including healthcare projects.
• Significant inpatient critical care facility experience (academic medical centers, specialty centers, hospitals).
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, HIH, LEED energy efficiency and indoor air quality, NFPA codes.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary projects and managing client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Project Manager and Mechanical Lead to guide multi-disciplinary design projects in Healthcare.
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines and ensure quality standards and client relations.
• Lead Houston mechanical team and potentially hire mid-level staff.
• Mentor team members and promote inclusive career growth.
• Design comprehensive mechanical systems including airside, hydronic, and exhaust.
• Prepare drawings, specs, reports, and sustainable design methods.
• Represent the client with stakeholders and manage project goals and finances.
• Oversee proposals, bid submissions, and contract negotiations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and code officials to deliver integrated projects.
