Job summary

RENA North America is seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer in Albany, OR to drive complex mechanical system designs from concept to production. You will lead large-scale projects, develop advanced plumbing schematics, 3D SolidWorks models, analyses, and test procedures, while mentoring junior engineers and setting design standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 15+ years’ experience in mechanical systems design
• Master’s degree preferred or 20+ years of experience
• Advanced knowledge of engineering concepts, practices, procedures, and quality systems
• Expert SolidWorks 3D modeling skills
• Strong DFx understanding: manufacturability, test, reliability, serviceability
• Demonstrated project management experience
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities
• 5+ years leading and mentoring teams
• Experience in semiconductor tool industry a plus

Responsibilities

• Create engineering documents including plumbing schematics, BOMs, SolidWorks models, simulations, analyses, test procedures, and root-cause analyses
• Lead large, complex engineering design projects on existing product platforms and configure-to-order jobs
• Design for simplicity using project management, quality, and development best practices
• Communicate clearly with global internal and external teams
• Produce high-quality, readable documents for diverse readers
• Manage multiple projects and oversee junior engineers' work
• Collaborate on shop floor with manufacturing engineers during design and build
• Uphold professionalism and mechanical excellence; establish design standards
• Provide mentorship and training to design team members
