Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design across education, healthcare, and government sectors. You will drive energy‑efficient HVAC systems and manage projects from concept through construction, engaging clients and coordinating with architects and engineers.

You will mentor junior staff, ensure code compliance, and contribute to performance contracting initiatives, with a focus on sustainable building design and energy modeling.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience designing HVAC and mechanical systems.
• PE license required.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Trane Trace, IES VE, Navisworks, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design from concept through construction.
• Develop energy‑efficient, innovative solutions.
• Oversee projects end‑to‑end including site visits, specs, and construction support.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and owners to meet goals.
