Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in heavy industrial environments.
• Experience with steelmaking equipment, furnaces, or similar heavy industrial systems is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, improve, and optimize mechanical and hydraulic systems across the facility.
• Lead reliability initiatives to increase uptime and efficiency.
• Support melting and steelmaking equipment upgrades, installations, and commissioning.
• Provide engineering support for large baghouse and environmental systems.
• Manage capital projects, budgets, schedules, and contractor coordination.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and vendors to move projects forward.
• Ensure safety compliance and regulatory requirements.
