Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience.
• Experience presenting to customers during design reviews.
• Strong design background applying mechanics of materials and fluid principles.
• CAD modeling proficiency for components, assemblies, and drawings per ASME Y14.100.
• Knowledge of GD&T principles and techniques.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Experience taking hardware through manufacturing.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality results under tight timelines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop components and assemblies for chemical rocket systems.
• Lead design reviews with cross-functional teams.
• Perform structural, thermal, and fluid analyses.
• Oversee vendor selection and transition to operations.
• Develop detailed work instructions for assembly and testing.
• Engage in hands-on hardware assembly, testing, and data analysis.
• Identify risk mitigation strategies across development.
• Facilitate communication with customers, internal teams, and subcontractors.
