Axcelis Technologies is seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of highly mechanized and automated capital equipment for the semiconductor industry. You will work closely with product and marketing managers to deliver innovative ion implanter solutions and guide junior engineers.

You will champion sound engineering methods, design reviews, and concurrent product development to ensure right-the-first-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong design, analysis, and problem-solving capabilities for highly automated electromechanical systems.
• Experience with offshore teams is a plus.
• Experience with PLM systems (Windchill) and 3D modeling/FEA tools is highly desired.

Responsabilités

• Lead design and development of mechanical systems for semiconductor capital equipment.
• Ensure development processes and verification/validation plans are followed; manage schedule and budget.
• Coordinate with offshore teams and design services to deliver on-time, quality designs.
• Guide less experienced engineers and coach as needed.
