Allegion in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the Product Lifecycle Engineering (PLE) Mechanical Team. You will sustain current market products and develop design documentation, 3D models, drawings and test instructions, collaborating with Systems Engineering, Hardware and Firmware to deliver quality solutions.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years of mechanical design and hands-on experience with Creo, SolidWorks and Windchill, and willingness

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in the design, development, implementation, and integration of mechanical systems.
• Ability to quickly build proof-of-concept solutions and lead globally distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structured problem-solving approaches to design challenges and determine root causes.
• Utilize FMEA, GD&T, tolerance analysis and DFM/DFA to mitigate risks early in the design process.
• Develop design documentation, 3D models/drawings, and manufacturing/test instructions.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Hardware and Firmware to ensure cohesive cross-functional design.
