Job summary

Allegion is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a focused team in Blue Ash, OH, onsite. You will lead mechanical design from concept to production, partner with manufacturing and other brands, and apply tools like FMEA, GD&T, and DFM/DFA to ensure high-quality, cost-effective solutions.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering and 7+ years of experience in design and program management, with Agile delivery experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 7+ years in design, development, and integration of mechanical systems.
• Experience with moderate to complex product and/or program management.
• Experience delivering technical solutions using agile project management.

Responsibilities

• Define mechanical system requirements and specifications to meet needs.
• Use FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, GD&T, Tolerance Stack Analysis, DFM/DFA to mitigate risks.
• Ensure designs meet requirements via verification methods.
• Create design documentation, 3D models, drawings, and manufacturing/test instructions.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Operations, and other brands in cross-functional teams.
• Define design trade-offs balancing performance, cost, and manufacturability.
• Coordinate timelines and track activities to meet delivery/cost commitments.
• Provide day-to-day direction and oversight for team members.
