Boyd is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design, analysis, testing and documentation for semiconductor thermal solutions. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver innovative products meeting customer requirements.

The role emphasizes SolidWorks design, FEA validation, and production release processes, with responsibilities spanning from concept through manufacturing support and cost/quality trade-offs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering and 7+ years in a technical role as an engineer.
• Experience with CNC machining, sheet metal, injection molding, tight tolerance components.
• Experience with closed-loop refrigeration systems, pneumatic actuation, automation, thermocouples, RTDs, power supplies, fans, and thermoelectric coolers a plus.
• Proficient user of CAD/3D solid modeling tools - SolidWorks 2018 or newer preferred

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, test, and document new products for customer requirements.
• Use SolidWorks for design, modeling, validation (FEA) and drafting/documentation.
• Define test plans and direct product testing with lab staff.
• Develop production processes with manufacturing to meet requirements.
• Support production and understand cost, performance, and quality trade-offs.
