Leidos is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and integrate HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and mechanical utilities for government facilities in the FAA program. You will produce drawings, specs, and calculations for public procurement and facility operation.

This role requires a US-registered PE, ABET-accredited mechanical engineering degree, 8+ years of experience (or 6+ with a Master's), and strong teamwork and communication skills. Must be in US Eastern time zone with 25% travel.

Competenze

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 8+ years of applicable experience or 6+ years with a Master's degree.
• Professional Engineer license in good US standing.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Suitability.
• Experience with mechanical design and analysis.
• Experience testing and evaluation of mechanical systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in engineering analysis and design software tools.
• Ability to create and edit projects in AutoCAD.

Mansioni

• Design and engineer HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical utilities for facilities.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, equipment schedules, and calculations for procurement/operation.
• Coordinate with architectural, civil, structural, electrical, and controls disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, NFPA, ICC, energy codes, and agency criteria.
• Perform load calculations, energy modeling, ventilation analysis, and system sizing.
• Develop models using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Civil 3D, Carrier HAP/Trace, eQUEST.
• Support budgeting with cost estimating tools like Bluebeam, RSMeans, Sage Estimating.
• Assist construction administration: submittals, RFIs, site visits, commissioning.
• Fire protection design including sprinklers and smoke control.
