Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with power-design expertise to lead mechanical teams through radar development from concept to production. This onsite role supports Marlborough, MA or Tewksbury, MA and requires delivering reliable power solutions for land-based radar systems.

You will guide design, perform analyses, manage transitions to manufacturing, and collaborate with cross-functional groups while upholding DoD security standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 5+ years experience or advanced degree with 3+ years.
• 3 years experience in design of power or electronic systems for military or aerospace.
• Experience with ANSI/ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical power system concepts for radar platforms.
• Lead design and development of power systems including layout and distribution.
• Manage design-to-production transitions and releases.
• Perform tolerance analyses for radar applications.
• Provide technical guidance to meet quality and performance standards.
• Lead small teams to meet schedules and budgets.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
