Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to join our product management team, supporting the mechanical design of in-house server chassis.

You will collaborate with product engineering and management to oversee chassis development, review mechanical designs, and ensure robustness and efficiency across the lifecycle. The role requires strong CAD skills (Creo, AutoCAD, SolidWorks), 8+ years in server/mechanical design, and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related design experience in computer/server mechanical design.
• 8+ years of experience in computer/server/embedded products is highly desired.
• Familiar with manufacturing processes and tooling.
• Expertise with CAD software such as Creo and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Review the mechanical design and oversee chassis development to ensure robustness and efficiency.
• Lead cross-functional teams for system layout placement and cable routing study.
• Conduct system level design risk assessments and DFMEA/TA analyses.
• Perform 3D/2D CAD drawing reviews and verify component models.
