Job summary

Lutron Electronics Co., Inc is seeking a Mechanical Engineer across multiple U.S. locations (Austin, TX; Boston, MA; Coopersburg, PA). You will design mechanical components, build 3D CAD models, perform FEA, and drive product improvements from concept through production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree required in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Engineering Science.
• Minimum GPA 3.00 for all degrees earned.
• 4 years design experience with BS or 2 years with MS.
• Experience using 3D CAD software in product development context.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components, assemblies, tools, and fixtures for performance and manufacturability.
• Create 3D CAD models and engineering documentation for products and design changes.
• Perform FEA, tolerance analyses, DFM, and FMEA to validate designs.
• Identify and implement product improvements and cost reduction opportunities.
• Prototype designs using 3D printing, machine shops, and supplier resources.
