Job summary

Voyager Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer V - Design with 10–15 years of experience in mechanical engineering and a BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering. The role focuses on rocket-related design, drafting, materials, and systems engineering to advance defense, space, and national security programs.

The engineer will lead design optimization, perform complex analyses, and coordinate with manufacturing and testing teams to ensure robust, reliable, and safe systems.

Qualifications

• Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
• 10 to 15 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Bachelor of Science in mechanical or aerospace engineering from an accredited university (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Design complex mechanical systems and lead development of rocket-related components and actuators.
• Create and interpret 2D/3D CAD models and drawings with GD&T.
• Perform structural, thermal, and dynamic analyses to validate designs.
• Lead manufacturing planning, assembly, and testing activities, including NDT where applicable.
• Contribute to system-level mass estimation, risk management and safety measures.
