Job summary

Required: Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years’ experience (or MS/PhD with 3+ years). Strong CAD, GD&T, FEA, and hands-on prototyping skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering
• Proficiency in CAD modeling and 3D design using SolidWorks
• Experience with precision machine design and GD&T
• Hands-on experience designing, assembling, testing, and debugging mechanical/electro-mechanical equipment
• Experience with Structural and Thermal FEA and GD&T application
• Hands-on fabrication/prototyping including machining/additive manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test high-precision electro-mechanical equipment and tooling from concept to production deployment
• Drive conceptual and detailed designs using 3D solid modeling (SolidWorks)
• Build prototypes and validate designs
• Release parts, assemblies, drawings, and ECOs for product release
• Communicate requirements, timelines and deliverables clearly
• Work with fabricators using DFM to achieve robust designs
• Collaborate with NPI to deploy equipment at scale
• Coordinate with software, electrical, and systems engineers for integrated solutions
• Conduct root cause analysis of test failures to improve performance
