Job summary

Gems Setra, a leader in sensing and monitoring technologies, seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own the mechanical architecture of precision HVAC and environmental sensing platforms. You will lead cross-functional work to ensure high accuracy, environmental robustness, and long-term reliability of sensors used in critical environments.

Responsibilities include prototyping, qualification testing, and coordinating with Electrical, Firmware, and Manufacturing teams to deliver robust products.

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for HVAC and environmental sensors.
• Create CAD models, drawings, GD&T, material specs, and tolerance analyses.
• Perform FEA and thermal analysis to validate mechanical robustness for HVAC conditions.
• Lead prototyping, environmental qualification, and reliability testing.
• Optimize sensor interfaces for installation in ducts, cleanrooms, mechanical rooms, and building automation systems.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Firmware, Test Engineering, and Manufacturing on sensor integration.
• Drive cost reduction and design improvements across the product lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring for NPI and sustaining engineering.
• Lead and participate in DFMEA for new and existing products.
• Manage multiple small to medium engineering projects with schedule and budget oversight.
