Job summary

Gems Setra in Plainville, CT, seeks an Associate Mechanical Engineer to join an early-career team, supporting experienced engineers while learning to investigate problems, define product changes, and conduct testing. You will build fundamental engineering knowledge through real projects and contribute to the product lifecycle from design to validation.

You will create CAD models and engineering records, evaluate proposed changes, and carry solutions through release across systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with internships or co-ops.
Hands-on exposure to manufacturing, testing, product design or related work.

Responsibilities

Investigate problems across manufacturing, quality, and product performance.
Create and maintain CAD models, drawings, BOMs, routings, configurations, and records.
Evaluate changes, document testing, and release solutions across systems.
Plan, conduct, and document testing and product characterization.
Identify opportunities to improve cost, quality, manufacturability, or customer value.
