Job summary

ASM in Phoenix is seeking aSenior Mechanical Engineer to design and develop advanced high-precision equipment for the semiconductor industry. You will apply solid mechanical engineering fundamentals to solve design challenges, support new product development, and ensure reliable transition from design to manufacturing.

You will work with cross-functional teams, perform structural and thermal analyses, create CAD models in CREO/Pro/E, and manage project plans with MS Project.

Qualifications

• MS degree in mechanical engineering or related field is highly preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the engineering, design, and development of complex mechanical systems including automation stages, wafer handling systems, reactors, vacuum chambers, and gas delivery systems.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to design and develop semiconductor equipment with emphasis on mechatronics.
• Design/develop automation stages, including translating and rotary motion, sensors, servos, actuators, and vision systems.
• Perform structural and thermal analyses and dynamic system modeling.
• Create CAD models and detailed drawings using CREO/Pro/E and AutoCAD.
• Manage project plans, schedules, and design reviews; communicate with cross-functional teams.
• Travel to customer sites to participate in technical discussions and ensure successful implementation.
