Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3–5 years of experience.
• Computer literate; MS Word, Power Point, Excel, FEA, 2D/3D CAD (CATIA experience a plus).
• Demonstrated ability to dissect a problem, design a solution and create a test method to prove the issue is fixed.
• Enjoys building, testing and debugging tools throughout the development cycle.
• Experience with product development: Design, DFM, root cause analysis, test instrumentation and data acquisition and analysis; use of statistical tools, process capability, DOE’s, stack-ups.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the design process to achieve quality, performance, schedule and cost objectives.
• Perform hands-on concept development, prototyping, product testing, data collection and definition of product specifications.
• Independently carry out advanced stack-ups and system analysis for consistent assembly and functionality.
• Investigate design issues & test failures; implement corrective actions to components.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define customer requirements and translate into specifications.
