Job summary

Stratus® is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (PE) to provide expert technical leadership on complex commercial projects. This role oversees design, analysis, and construction phases, ensuring regulatory compliance and client requirements are met.

You will guide project teams, coordinate with architects, contractors, and consultants, and mentor junior engineers while incorporating innovative, efficient building systems and staying current with industry advances.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• 7–10 years of experience in engineering design and project management.
• Experience with MEP and Fire Prevention systems in the commercial sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and technical development of engineering projects.
• Prepare detailed drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Oversee integration of building systems across disciplines.
• Provide technical oversight during construction and site visits.
• Mentor junior engineers and review project milestones.
