Job summary

Stratus is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer II (PE) to provide expert technical leadership on complex commercial projects. You will guide design, analysis, and construction phases and ensure compliance with standards and client requirements.

You will mentor junior engineers, oversee multidisciplinary system integration, and collaborate with architects, contractors, and consultants to deliver high-quality deliverables within schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• ABET-accredited engineering degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
• 10–15 years of engineering design and project management experience
• Experience with MEP and Fire Prevention systems in the commercial sector

Responsibilities

• Lead design and technical development of commercial engineering projects with expert guidance to project teams.
• Prepare detailed drawings, calculations, and specifications meeting project requirements and codes.
• Oversee integration of civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, and environmental systems.
• Provide technical oversight during construction; review submittals and conduct site visits.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead technical teams toward high-quality deliverables.
• Conduct quality control reviews at key milestones to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and consultants for seamless coordination.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations to convey technical solutions.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet milestones and budgets.
• Stay current with industry advances and incorporate innovative materials when applicable.
