Job summary

Advantage Point Group, Inc. (APG) is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Facilities Design Team. You will design HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for industrial and commercial settings, collaborating with architects, structural, electrical, and fire protection experts.

This is a construction-focused role, not product development, with hybrid meeting options. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of building systems design and is pursuing PE licensure; E.I.T.

Qualifications

• BSME degree required.
• 5+ years designing mechanical building systems (HVAC, plumbing, piping) for commercial/industrial facilities.
• Ability to obtain PE license or pursue licensure soon.
• E.I.T. candidates encouraged to apply.
• AutoCAD and/or Revit proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct heating and cooling load analysis.
• Review Test & Balance reports and ensure proper air balance and room pressurizations.
• Design spaces and size equipment such as AHUs, FCUs, exhaust fans, and extraction arms.
• Develop plumbing plans with riser diagrams.
• Generate mechanical plans, schedules, equipment specs, details, and construction documents.
• Contribute to mechanical scope and fees for proposals.
